Additional services
Our additional processing options give your front panel or machined part the perfect finishing touch – both functionally and visually. Whether it’s subsequent anodizing, bending, or adding EMC slots, here you’ll find ways to tailor your components even more precisely to their intended application. We will determine the pricing for these options as part of an individual quote.

End face machining
On request, we can also machine the end faces of your front panel. This allows threaded blind holes, milled recesses or other functional features to be added – precisely and accurately matched to your application.

EMC slots
In order to improve the electromagnetic compatibility of your housing we can mill slots for the use of EMC spring contacts into the end faces of your front panel.

Edge sanding
After machining, milling marks may be visible along the outer edges of your front panel – particularly on the mounting tabs. On request, we can sand these edges to smooth them out. This process reduces visible marks and gives the surface a more uniform, matt appearance, which is especially beneficial for panels made from thinner materials.

Subsequent anodizing
During machining, the outer edges and milled surfaces of your front panel remain untreated – i.e. bare. If you would also like an anodized surface at these points, we can anodize the complete front panel afterwards. This service is available both for our standard aluminium panels and for suitable cast aluminium materials.

Serial numbers
Using the text engraving feature in Front Panel Designer, you can also create serial numbers – for example for consecutively numbered front panels in series production.

Bending
We shape your milled parts into the desired three-dimensional form through bending and folding. This creates a precise angle along one or more edges – ideal for enclosures, panels, or structural transitions.

Threaded studs and standoffs
In the Front Panel Designer, you can select various threaded studs and standoffs directly. Depending on your application, choose between bonded parts for light loads – such as small displays or circuit boards – and screw-in load-bearing studs and bushings for higher mechanical stresses. The components are available in different lengths for M2.5, M3, UNC #4 and UNC #6 threads. On request, we also supply press-fit standoffss and studs. Please feel free to contact us for further details.

Material supplied by customer (customer material)
We can also machine your own material, semi-finished or finished parts. For these orders too, you can work in Front Panel Designer as normal. What you need to bear in mind when supplying your own material and how to use the software in this respect is explained here.
