Viewing options

Several viewing options are available to support the design, relating to the size of the displayed section of the design as well as to aids such as the crosshair or object reference points.

You can zoom in or out of the main plate at any time by rotating the mouse wheel:

•	Zoom in (enlarge): MOUSE WHEEL á

•	Zoom out (reduce): MOUSE WHEEL â

Note: Depending on the default set you may also need to hold down Ctrl for these actions.

After switching to zoom mode (by clicking on the magnifying glass icon in the toolbar or by pressing z or with View > Zoom in / out) you can zoom the current view of the main plate in or out using the following commands:

•	Zoom in (enlarge): MOUSE BUTTON left

•	Zoom out (reduce): MOUSE BUTTON right

After switching to zoom mode (by clicking on the magnifying glass icon in the toolbar or by pressing z or with View > Zoom in / out) you can select a part of the visible display area with the left mouse button to be a subsequent view.

To do this, press and hold the left mouse button at one of the four corners of the desired area and then drag the cursor to the diagonally opposite corner. When you release the mouse button, the selected area becomes the new view.

The < and > keys allow you to zoom in or out of the current view at any time:

•	Zoom in (enlarge): <

•	Zoom out (reduce): >

The following commands allow you to display the main plate, including all of the objects placed outside it, while fully utilizing the workspace:

•

Ctrl + a

•	View > Overview

By pressing Ctrl + 1 all of the objects are displayed in a size that the program, after evaluating certain of the system parameters available, determines as being the original size.

To check whether this calculation also leads to correct results on your computer system, please measure a defined object directly on the screen.

You can move the current display with the mouse wheel while preserving the scale:

•	Up/down (depending on default setting): MOUSE WHEEL or Ctrl + MOUSE WHEEL

•	Right/Left: Shift + MOUSE WHEEL

With this option, the reference points of the objects can be toggled on and off as small red crosses:

•

•	View > Show reference points

•	Edit > Settings > "View" tab > Show reference points

With this option you can choose whether the cursor appears with or without a crosshair extending across the workspace:

•	Edit > Settings > "View" tab > Crosshair

This option allows you to switch between the normal "target view" of the objects and the "actual view" of the outline mode. In this view – in particular for the DXF free contours – the outlines are displayed which would result from the respective tool selection:

•

Ctrl + d

•	View > Outline mode

•	Edit > Settings > "View" tab > Outline mode

This option allows you to toggle the grid points on and off:

•

Ctrl + g

•	View > Show grid

•	Edit > Settings > "View" tab > Show grid

Note: The display of the grid – its visibility or invisibility – has no effect on the option of whether objects are aligned with its grid points or not while being placed or moved. To do this the appropriate options must be set irrespective of the display of the grid at Edit > Settings > "View" tab .

With the following commands you can enlarge or reduce the grid base in both the X and Y direction by the same factor regardless of the settings dialog box:

•	Halve grid base: View > Halve grid base

•	Double grid base: View > Double grid base

With the "Minimum grid point distance" (in Edit > Settings > "View" tab .) you can prevent your view of large main plates being "obstructed" by a complete grid lattice when a small grid base is defined as visible (0 pixels = no limit). The geometry of the grid itself or its "snap properties" remain unaffected by this setting.

This option allows you to toggle the display of non-produced elements on the front panel:
