Advantages of UV printing
Design freedom
Photos, company logos, text or complex graphics – everything can be printed directly and precisely onto the front panel.
Durable
UV-cured printing on specially treated aluminium is durable and resistant to chemicals, solvents, and abrasion.
High colour saturation
Direct printing delivers vibrant colours, strong contrasts and an impressive visual impact – even in the finest details.
Wide colour gamut
Thanks to the additional white layer, all colours appear vivid and true to life, even on coloured backgrounds.
UV direct printing on aluminium
In UV direct printing, the design is transferred straight from the computer onto the aluminium – precisely and without intermediate steps. The special ink cures instantly under UV light and remains on the material’s surface, ensuring vibrant colours, razor-sharp details, and a fully opaque finish.
This printing method is particularly well suited for fine lines, small lettering and multicoloured designs – even when combined with milled shapes. For colour-anodized aluminium, we also apply a white base print to ensure that vibrant colours achieve their full brilliance.
The UV-cured print layer is scratch-resistant, smudge-proof and highly resistant to many chemicals. This makes it ideal for long-lasting use in technical environments or under heavy wear.
How it works
In the Front Panel Designer, you can position your print elements directly on the front panel – whether text, logos or intricate designs. Existing engraving files can easily be converted to UV printing – with no additional effort required.

Experience UV printing on anodized aluminium
Our standard sheets with coloured anodized surfaces are also available for UV printing. You can print directly onto the coloured material to create striking effects with the metallic base – or add even more colour depth by underprinting selected areas with white. You can simulate how colour, material and print interact in the configurator. Simply move the slider and choose your colour.
Printing or engraving – which is better?
Whether UV printing or engraving: each method offers distinct advantages. Our comparison table highlights the differences at a glance – helping you choose the ideal solution for your project.
