This chapter will help you to familiarize yourself with the fundamentals of creating a front panel, and in particular with a few simple and effective strategies for arranging and multiplying objects.

Design steps

A design is made up in principle out of the sequence of a handful of recurring actions

Main plate

The starting point of every design is the definition in geometry and material of a main plate

Row of drilled holes

Creating a row of drilled holes through cloning and duplication of a single drilled hole

Lettering

Creating a row of labels to match a row of drilled holes

System holes

Inserting objects which allow the panel to be mounted in a 19 "rack

Cutout

Creating a cutout in which, for example, a display can be mounted

Price calculation

The price of the current design can be called up throughout the entire process
